Sustainability and Social Responsibility

Here at Hatch, we’re always looking for better ways to do things. And we understand how important it is to know of how our actions can affect both the environment and the people involved. One of the most important things to us is our commitment to sustainability. We want to make sure we are working in the most sustainable way possible at every stage of our business, and also in how we interact with our partners. We place special emphasis on sustainability in our choice of materials and how we develop our products and printing processes. This helps us to lower our carbon footprint wherever and whenever possible.

Leaving smaller footprints

As we strive to make our innovative systems even better, there is constant focus on the materials we use and the consumable products we sell. Our goal is to always minimise the environmental impact as much as possible and ensure that all products we produce are 100% recyclable.

Our cutting-edge, print-on-demand capabilities mean less stock needs to be stored, and, as we fill orders closest to our customers’ location and that of the finished goods, we are actively reducing our carbon footprint. But we know there is always more to do, that’s why we are committed to making these practices and processes better whenever we see an opportunity.

How we make our products better

At Hatch we are constantly improving the way we work and the way we manufacture our products throughout our supply chain - and we make sure our supply chain partners are doing the same. Sustainability is at the heart of how we select, design, and make our products.

Intertek are one of the most reputable technical auditing firms in the world. They audit and approve all our materials, products, and processes to make sure they are compliant with all applicable statutes, regulations, and industry standards. Holding ourselves to these standards means we are continually striving to improve in all that we do.

We care about our employees and our global social responsibility

Hatch, and everyone we work with, are committed to meeting, and continuously improving on, the highest standards of product development, manufacture, and delivery. To do this, we focus on three distinct goals.

We are proud to be a member of the worldwide Business Social Responsibility Initiative (Amfori BSCI). Meaning we are compliant with the highest standards of employee health and safety. It also means we are compliant with the global work of the Fair Labour Association and their work to eradicate slavery, forced labour, child labour, harassment and abuse in the workplace.

Our Sustainability Program and Social Responsibility initiatives will remain as a part of the agenda for our monthly senior management meeting and those of our Board of Directors.
